| Rates include electrical service, water hookup, and sewer hookup. The State of Alabama requires a 4% lodging tax, and Shelby County requires 7% lodging tax. Although we disagree with the lodging tax, we must collect and forward the lodging tax to the respective government entities as required by law. Extended-stay guests do not pay the lodging tax after the first 180-days, six (6) months. Also, rates are based on two (2) adults and two (2) children per camping unit. A child is considered someone under 18 years of age. For each additional adult or child over two (2) per unit, there is a $3.00 per day fee.
